The Everyday Carry Course is an introduction to gunfighting. The course provides the student with the fundamental knowledge and skills necessary to responsibly, safely, and effectively carry/use a concealed pistol. The focus is actually carrying/using a concealed firearm, not merely obtain a license.
The 14-hour course is evenly split between the classroom and the range.
The intense online classroom instruction covers mindset, concealed carry firearm selection, holster selection, criminal psychology, situational awareness, avoiding/de-escalating confrontations, physiological-psychological stress reactions, bullets-bodies-gunfight reality, post-incident actions, emotional aftermath, and more.
The range is just as intense. The student learns how to: safely draw a firearm from concealment, turn and shoot, use cover, shoot from a wide variety of positions, shooting when unable to extend the gun, shooting & moving, one-handed shooting, shooting while using a light, multiple assailants, and more.
Students receive an online information folder and a certificate of achievement.
Pre-req: This is not a beginner’s course.
Students must be able to safely manipulate a gun, fire, and hit a given target at 5 yards. We can conduct a Pre-Course Assessment if you aren’t sure of your current skill set. We can also help achieve the standards necessary to take this course. Just reach out and ask if you are unsure. Students must be 21 years old and law-abiding US citizens.
Gear List: A strong side rigid hip holster is mandatory. Reliable .380 caliber or larger pistol with 300 rounds (no reloads). Strongly recommend 2-3 spare magazines/speed loaders and magazine pouches. Students should wear range-appropriate clothing, Wear a shirt that covers the gun and a windbreaker or a loose button shirt. Knee pads are optional.
Range fees & ammo are not included. Rental guns/holsters are available for a small additional fee.

Instructor:
The primary instructor at W2TF is Will Rodriguez who served over 20 years as an Infantry Officer and in combat. Post army service, Will has completed almost 600 hours of firearm, personal security, crime prevention, and trauma medicine training. He holds numerous instructor ratings including Rangemaster Certified Instructor, multiple NRA Pistol Instructor certs, Refuse to Be a Victim Crime Prevention Instructor, and ALiCE Active Shooter Instructor.
